Would any of you guys who competed in these events be so kind as to let me know which ones each time you post them. Also it'd be good to know which teams, bikes and numbers you were racing under. That way it'll make watching them that much more fun, and even though they're in the past, since I don't know the results I can have someone to root for whilst I'm watching.
I remember watching a YouTube video recently of a race in which Dave Thorpe was racing. I didn't know the result and wanted him to win because he was an English rider (on a Honda CR500). In the first race he knocked the cap off his radiator which caused his bike to overheat. The point was he'd already told Honda about this design fault: because he was so tall his knee contacted the cap and when Honda decided to ignore his warning the inevitable happened.
It's still a thrill to watch these old motocross races. I would imagine a lot of you are too humble as to say, "Yeah that was me. That was the year I won the Championship!" or whatever. I'm not one of those star-struck 16 year olds so you're safe inasmuch as I'm not going to pester you for loads of info or autographs/stickers etc. As I say, please let me know if any of you competed in them to enhance my viewing experience - that's all.
