Old guy and a new ride
« on: May 30, 2012, 04:33:45 AM »
Hello to all on the KX board.  My name is Ray and I am new to Moto riding.  I have been riding all my life, (I am 55) all kinds of 2 wheelers.  I ride a Goldwing with the wife everywhere and recently bought a 2003 KX250.  I really enjoy the bike, but as an Anal tinkerer, retired from the military on fighter jets, and build and raced my own drag car........I want to make additions to the already quality of the KX.
I like to make things better, whether by set-ups or just flat out learning what to do and how.  I don't plan to race the bike, just enjoy going with my son-in-law to a couple of places here in Kansas and ride.
Now, that being said does not mean that the suspension is set up for me (6'1" and 225lb).  I do know that the previous owner was quite smaller than I am so..........looking forward to learning and making the bike better.
Nice board that I am now associated with.
Thanks
Ray
