Define "Works".......

I'm just asking because full "Works" bikes were banned from the AMA rule book like back in 1983 or something.......Factory bikes after that were based on production machines.
I once heard my buddy Bill ask Danny Hamel after a race....
"How can someone who looks like a high school band tuba player go so d**n fast on a bike?!"

Don't have pics of KX works bikes, but wife and I stayed in a bed and bfast up in Canada. Never been there before. Turns out he was a Works rider with Triumph in the 50's and 60's. Rough riding back then! Wife gave me crap as all's he and I did was talk motorcycles the whole time we were there. Couldn't have planned that better!

Your bike looks great, Ben!  It looks like a 92, but with the 89 shroud decals.  The 89 decals are my favorite!

Thanks, and yes, it is a '92.  I bought it a couple weeks ago - low hours and it still had the stock tires on it.

The '89 shroud decals are my favorite too.  I just put an '89 tank on it last night, and I have some white UNI-TRACK swingarm stickers coming too, but I hate to take off the 92 swingarm stickers, as they are in real nice shape.

I had a really cool aluminum tank for the KX500 a few years ago, and I sold it to someone on here.  I am kicking myself for doing so, and would love to get one for this bike.

I will hit up the wife to see if she remembers or has the address. It was some years ago, so I hope they are still B&Bing.

Nothing remembered by the wife. Have stepped it to my sis that recommended it to us. It was around 15 years ago, so it is a long shot!
