in the manual it gives settings for both, what are the differences and how do i tell which one my bike is? any help would be appreciated. my bike is a 2004 kx250.

my word, been looking for the answer for a while then as soon as i make the post about it, i find it somewhere else, as far i found M1 refers to 03 model, and M2 to the 04 model...

in 04 the m2 got the new linkage anchored to the swing arm instead of the frame, the correct power valve governer spring, different forks with the newer style fork guards and cr style front brake line, taller seat foam, gripper seat cover, 50t rear sprocket instead of a 49t, wider spaced bar mounts in the upper tripple clamp, and relocated expansion chamber mount. i think thats all....
