I have an 85 T-3 (Tecate) with a KX ignition (I'm assuming it's a mid 80's 250 igintion). It was put on by one of the previous owners.
The problem is for the past 1 1/2 years I've blown three exciter coils. The first two were from Electrosport and the last from Ricky Stator. They last about 3-6 months before they blow. What's everyone's experience with the aftermarket coils? Are they complete junk and this is normal or do I have something else causing this recurring problem?
