Hey!
« on: February 22, 2009, 04:55:16 PM »
I mostly ride a YZ450f these days but I've been a kx fan forever,,, Jamm'n Jimmy was my first moto hero.
You might recognize me from TT or maybe like AJ, MJ's.

Anyways,,, I rebuilt a 1996 KX250 that I got a ways back.

Bike had very low hours but was fuglied up from a theft job (not me). You can see my old '95 in the background, I took the cylinder and lots of other trick parts off of it and put 'em on the '96.

After.

Also just finishing up a 1989 KX125, it's sitting in the living room now.

A guy I used to work with gave it to me, there were 5 different coats of paint on the frame. The motor was junk.

After.

Thanks,

I started racing in '79. First race was maplehurst cycle park in spring grove illinois on a 175 can-am qualifier in the 250B class. Got my first Kawasaki in 1985, the mighty KX125. Also had an '88 125, '89 250, '92 250, '95 250, and finally the '96. Oh yeah, I also had a '82 KZ550 for a while until I got too many tickets and got rid of it.

Haven't raced since '03 and am pretty sure I'm retired, still enjoy practice riding at local tracks like Mt Carroll and Sunset Ridge especially when Hogies there.
