A pipe fitment question

I have a 91 k5 with the old style cylinder.I need a new pipe. Do I buy a pipe for a 91 or for the old style cylinder?

What year cylinder? I ran a FMF Gnarly pipe 89-2004 model bikes on my 87 500 with zero issues.

it is the cylinder that has the bolt on water niple on the head.

My 87 had the bolt on cooling nipples. But I'm unsure if 86 or even 88 had those.
