I read the basic tips here and think that this is the foundations of trials riding.  I ride trials and motocross with my KX5 the experiance of trials riding has allowed me to have a much wider experiance with my KX5.  I often treat it like a very heavy trials bike as I ride in an abandonded gravel pit, kinda like my first TY 350 (always been a big bore kinda guy) lol.  Trials bikes have no seats, which forces you to become a better rider.  Balance is important too.  See how long you can balance the bike in one position without slipping the clutch.  Here is a tip: do not try to balance with your legs.  USE YOUR ARMS shoulders over the bars, balance the bike by turning the wheelright to left.
