« on: November 23, 2006, 05:40:57 AM »
Hope you'll are out riding or sitting at home enjoying the awesome smell of tons of food cooking on the stove! (oh yeah, watching football too)

I'm not sure what I'm more excited about... The food or the fact that I get to set up Christmas tomarrow. Either way, hope everybody is in good health enjoying life.

Happy Turkey Day Gowen... and everyone else.  I am stuck at work for 72 hours straight but will be heading out to the dunes Friday morning to enjoy the family and friends for the weekend.

Hope everyone remembers what there is to be thankful for?.......  The KX of course!!

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm "Thank"-ful for this site.  I get down sometimes because all I do is work-family-work-family and I bust my butt day-in and day-out and still cant seem to get ends to meet enough to afford to go ride or even maintain my bike the way I'm supposed to.  Riding dirtbikes has been a passion of mine as long as I can remember... ever since I was a small child.  My parents never could afford to get me a dirtbike so I had to wait until I was an adult to get my own.  Now that I have what I consider to be the best "all-around" dirtbike,  I cant afford to ride the darn thing.  Like I said, it gets me down. It gets me depressed and I get to the point of thinking about selling it and just giving up on the sport, besides... I could really use the money elsewhere.  But then I come here and surf around, and read posts, then I go over to Sly's page and watch some dune videos (Thanks Sly... I love the dunes! If you ever make a trip to Florence, Oregon I will meet you there) and its like I get a little re-charge.  It reminds me that I really do love this sport. Every aspect of it from wrenching to racing to just recreational riding.  There's really nothing I'd rather do.  Sooner or later this hard work will pay off and I'll get to ride.  This site, KXRiders/Pitbull Racing will have helped me through some down times where I almost gave up....  but then was reminded how great our sport is and how great the people involved in it are and how much I want to be a part of it.  You are a great bunch of guys and I would be happy to know any of you. Thank you for this website and all the hard work you guys put into it and contribute to it.  There is none that compares with KXRiders.com.  Happy Thanksgiving, and Happy Holidays to you all... and thanks again.
Rock it 'til the wheels fall off!

The weather here in northern West Virginia was absolutly wonderful, 60 degrees, sunny.... but no riding...  Its hunting season, and the hunters aren't happy if they see someone on a bike keeping the deer away.  Besides they're carring a loaded gun, the only loaded weapon I have is the KX... I'll sit this weekend out.  I don't want to thake a chance with someone who may get a little upset when they are carrying a loaded gun.

Update...  I couldn't take it...  the weather was just too nice.  I mounted the trusty stead, and went and played for a few hours.  Accourding to some hunter friends its too warm to hunt, so the woods should and were hunter free...

As usual, the green machine performs exactly as expected.  A friends son wants to move up to a 250, and asked to take mine for a spin...  I cautioned him on the difference in power vs a 125KX.  He took it down a little trail to get the feel of the bike, but then decided to try one of the hill climbs we had been playing on.  Lets just say, I thank he needed to change his pants, as he almost crapped himself as he jumped up over half of the hill.  He slowly brought it back, and said, maybe we should look at a 250F, and not a 250 two smoker...

Jut think what the big bike would have done...

GDubb... that hits home.  I definately find myself asking how I got what I have and get to do the things that I do...  Thanks for the shout out.

I hope that by sharing pictures of trips and rides (like Danger, Doordie, Cam, and Timbowe),  posting pictures of rebuilds and mods (like hughes, Cam, Paul, Alan, the new KX500AF's..awesome!!),  I think we all get to enjoy our hobbies through others blood, sweat, and tears.

Keep it comin' and look forward to getting a trip together with some of you from KXRider's in the future!!!    :-D
