Plactis Interchangability 2002-2004

I'm a newbie so please bear with me. I'm looking at getting a KX5 2002-2004 and wanted to find out the ability to interchange plastic. Are they exactly the same? Is the color the same? According to Tucker Rocky within the UFO plastic section, is the Kawasaki green really the same between all the years? I essentially want to make the bike look like the 2004 model (will have to paint frame myself), willing to purchase the decals from Kawasaki, black tank from Clarke, and other parts based on what year I end up with....but I'm finding it hard to understand if I'm able to get these parts in the color scheme of the 2004.

 as for the plastics, i think 2002-2004 were the same but i am not possitive.  if you look in the search screen you can find some tips on painting. tray asking Arigato, he has painted a few bikes

I think that you'll find that plastic from years 89-04 will enter change. They changed the color of the frame and the BNG (Bold New Graftics) from year to year, but not much else.

The only thing besides graphics that changed on 500 was the color of the tank.  The graphics on the 2004 were green on a black tank.
