$75 a barrell!!

I'm looking at buying another scooter. I sold my last one, an Italjet Dragster 180, 2 years ago because our stupid government hiked the regastration cost though the roof. They thought that too many people were falling of motorcycles and hurting themselves. So to cover the increased cost of govt supplied medical bills they taxed the poor old m/cycle rider... again. The new cost for the reg is now more than a car and nearly as much as my 22 ton truck! You would think that with the ever increasing cost of fuel would be enough to encourage the govt to lower this cost and get people to buy and use scooters more, works in Asia..
 
 So I am looking at an Aprilia SR50. Super cheap to run 50kms per litre of fuel, worth the extra reg cost. More $$ in the back pocket for KX parts!

This is a pic of a Italjet 180 similar to the one I had. Very fast machine. You could smoke "anything" of the line for the first 150 feet. Mine was slightly modded with a fully tuned length Arrow exhaust with C/Fibre stinger silencer.

Yep nice. Basically I'm a died in the wool Petrolhead! :evil: I like the noise, the smell, and offending the elderly with an outrageous sounding exhaust system! Especially from a small scoot. Its cool to blow off the boy racers in thier jap tintops at the lights. Electric does not quite do it for me. Who knows, one day we might not have the choice.

I guess I would have to get pretty bored to build one anyway! :lol: :lol: I had a Vespa 150 when I was 14 and it was real quiet, so the first thing I did was drive a big chisel into the side of the muffler. It sounded pretty cool and my parents were pissed and so were the neighbors! heheheheh!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Some of the new electric drag and speedsters are pretty cool though. It would be funny to pull up to a light and leave in a flash with no noise! kind of stealthy! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Monster Garage style!

 I had a Vespa 150 also. I crashed it one day when atempting wheelies. The gear change handlebar snapped off in my hand. Down she went. :x
