thanks for the link, but I'm looking for newer forks, say maybe 04 or newer.

I had saw on a local web site that there isa listing for 04 forks for kx250 for sale. I know I would have to relace the tripleclamps but I'm also looking for protaper bars to replace the stock ones.

it's kind of rusted in places, like on the frame where your boots would rub and a few of the bolts. I'm going to tear it all the way down to the frame and have it painted, and then replace everything I can as I build it backup.
If you are looking for the larger forks on the 04 or 05 KX250 you will have to get  the newer triple tree and have some machining done on it.

well I started this weekend. tore the whole bike a part. brought it to work for one of the coworkers to sand blast and paint.

I made a deal for some forks off a 04 kx 250 last night, got to save up some money this week so I can pick them up soon.

Let me know what problems you run into on retroing the 04 KX 250 forks?
