Uncle Daddy Cletus's Custom Crank Services.. Not affiliated with anyone I know.... :?
For satirical reference only  :-D

Cletus's Custom Crank Services uses a new surface treatment called RIP... Rust Impregnation Process... You leave the parts out in the rain for a few months, then remove the surface rust, leaving behind micro pitting which helps reduce friction, keeps the crank running cooler, and retains more oil for greater longevity... Good stuff according to Cletus...

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

I think the link may be broken.  I was very excited to try Uncle Daddy Cletus's new crank procedure, so I am very disappointed...

That guy sounds familiar.  :-D. My gut says he’s trying to rip me off, but my head reminds me that if it’s on the internet it has to be true. It’s federal law I think.

Where do we sign up?

Probably here:  www.uncledaddycletus.com/dontcallthecops/weaintgotnoassetssodontbothersuing/letsscamussomecityfolk

full disclaimer, this is not an endorsement of Uncle Daddy Cletus or his products, and the website therein.  :-D

Back when we were drag racing there was a thing for a while of prepping a block complete with hone, then letting it rust up lightly in the bores to harden the surface a tiny bit. Wipe the rust out and put it together.
We never did it but I vaguely remember it being a 'thing' for a while.
