99 KX250 Brake help
« on: July 03, 2017, 10:50:11 AM »
Ok here goes was riding my kx today and lost rear brakes...
Turns out the pin came loose fell out and lost my rear pass and pin...
HERES THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION.....
It turns out I can get a EBC pad set with a pin for around 30$
But I also lost the two sheet metal clips that go on top and front of caliper..
Can I run without these clips as I can't seem to find any without buying a used caliper there is part numbers but appears to be discontinued

One is a pad spring, the other is a pad guide.
They are both there for very good reasons.
I'm not saying you can't run without them but your going to cause other issues and may have a malfunctioning brake system.
Find the cheapest caliper on eBay that has those parts.
You can always sell the rest or keep it for spares.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.
