1985 K5 carb settings?
« on: November 26, 2016, 06:39:50 AM »
hey guys. have my carb torn apart right now and wanted to see how differently it should be set up in comparison to the newer generation K5s.

what I've read on the KX guru post from sandblaster, a 55 pilot and 168 main and the 3rd clip position is a good baseline for ~1000 ft above sea level.

right now, my pilot is a 40, and the main is an 086 or 380? hard to read the main jet number. the clip is already in the 3rd position.

also, do you guys think the reeds are up off the cage too far? they are not cracked or chipped but so stick up a ways
