Not necessarily.
At a minimum you need to get a feeler gauge and measure the clearance between the rod and the crank half.
All years New is .4-.5mm or .016-.02"
The Service Limit is .7mm or .028"

Then if you have a dial indicator you need to measure the up and down, or radial play
All years New is .034-.047mm or .0013-.0018"
The Service Limit is .1mm or .004"
If you can feel any up and down play just by hand, it's done.

If you are removing the crank from the cases measure the bearing journals on either side.
If they are much under 30mm let me know what they are.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

got lucky. side to side is within spec and zero up and down play. just time for a replate and a top end.
