Just checking head bearings numbers , 93 to 08 kx250 2t head bearings are the same part number which means you should be able to bolt on any later model kx250 front end, what model forks are the yz 125 forks . whats wrong with them ?

I believe they are off of a 94-95 yz125. i just contacted the previous owner and he said the triple clamps are the original kx But the forks are yz. The triple clamps have 2 bolt holes that are stripped and the forks are actually bent a little from a stack he had. I just figured its easier to replace whole thing than have a mismatched front end.

I have a set of 1990 forks and yokes and I am in Auckland, where about in NZ are you?

Cramming other forks on to bikes is my specialty.

The 1993 has a thicker steering head stem, I sweated a 1990 stem into a 1996 bottom yoke to fit later forks to my 1990, you could do the opposite to fit the early forks?

I think you might have a hard time trying to find a motor, I have a couple bits but that's all.
