« on: May 17, 2016, 12:26:15 PM »
Hey I'm looking for a flywheel weight for my 88 500 but can't seem to find anyone that sells them for my year they are all for 92 and above. Does anyone know where I can get one from or If the 92 will fit ?

Thanks

you may need to do some additional searches. from what i've read the 92 will fit but you're going to need the entire ignition system. seems that some guys put the circa 88 ignition on their later year motors to reduce spinning weight. make sure you have steel clutch plates first off. pm me if you need any more ideas. also my yz has a fww that just bolts on but it has the same 17mm threads as our kx wheels. if i get over to that bike i will see if the fww will bolt onto my kx500.

Get a machine shop  to make brass ring weight for the outer diameter of the flywheel {press fit}
 There is plenty of room in there on the 88

Dont like flywheel weights that thread on
