CP 500 CONVERSIONS

I have been searching the web at looking at different 500 conversions on both Honda and Kawasaki looking at differnt approaches.  I came across a site CP500 conversions-they specialize in Honda 500 conversions and was quite impessed with their site, http://www.conversionparts500.com/ , They offer some very nice converion part such as Frame Y sections, Head stay kit ect.  Does anyone have any experiance with this company, and used any of their parts for a KX 500 Aluminum Frame Converion with a KXf frame? I would really like to use their Y section.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking a look at our site.  We work hard to provide great parts and great instructions for conversions.

We actually just signed up on the forum today to start researching KX500 builds.  We have what we need to start doing our first Kawasaki builds and hope to have some kits in the near future.  If we are lucky, some of our existing parts will work allowing us to shorten our design time.

We are going to start with an 09 -12 KX250f chassis and I believe a 94 engine.  Are there any other combinations we should be looking at?   We are still trying to learn all the generations and issues associated with these builds versus the Hondas.

Hello CPParts.
Welcome to the forum.
There is tons of info on builds here.
I really like Y section you made for the CR500.
Hopefully it will work with little or no mods for the KX500.
Externally the 89-04 KX500 engines are the same.
Chassis wise I would stick to the 450's.
There is more room to work with and it's a easier build.
Any specific questions?
Ask, we'll do what we can.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

I am happy to see that you are going to build a KX500 AF from a 250AF frame.  I am so impressed with your Honda parts you have to date, and really was trying to figure out how to use your Honda Y section on the Kawasaki frame.  Please keep me posted on your progess as you said you would because I think your builds look the cleanest and the most simple.  I am from North Dakota and was thinking this would be a great way to cure Winter time blues and build a AF 500 out of my existing KX500 I have now.  I havent bought a doner bike yet but was considering the 250F because they are cheaper to buy, and more abundant around here.  I am planning on buying a frame on Ebay first, build it around the 500 motor, then buy a complete bike later to finish the project.

CP parts will definitely be the go to guys when they get the green bike figured out.  I am working with them right now on a kx project.  I have been nothing but impressed with the work they do on Hondas and the quality of their products.
