El Snorro

I figured out the thread is M24x1.0

And a steering stem nut of a honda CR85 2003-2007 is M24x1.0

I will order one and post here if it fits.

keep in mind the steering stem nut  may be Aluminum. Is there a lock ring on the output shaft to prevent the nut from coming off?  if so it wouldn't have to be very tight to hold the sprocket in place. The new 450's use a nut and a lock ring to secure it, from the factory they must use a 3/4" impact to install it cause that's what it took to get it off.

The newer KX500's use only a circlip so it will be no problem i gues.

the newer shafts that use the circlip probably have a deeper groove cut for the circlip,I'm sure the lock tab washer can still be found, probably 99 cents for your peace of mind
