don't ride near something.....
« on: June 04, 2009, 01:29:57 AM »
you really care about.  lol.....

So I got my kx5 a few weeks ago and well I wouldn't consider myself a noob or anything in the dirt world but I'm not going to be jumping over 5 school busses anytime soon either.  So on with the story.
I have these leyland cypress trees in my back yard that are about 2 years old and I've been watering them, and fertilizing them which I know doesn't seem like much but for me 57 trees is alot since I don't exactly have the greenest thumb.
So anyway I decide to play around on my new bike and kind of low bog it around to get a feel for tight type handling instead of the typical balls out field run.  Sure enough on one of my blips of the throttle for fun I'm headed for my new tree line on one wheel of course.  So I quickly drop the wheel and begin to realize just how slick grass is in comparison to dirt.  So I decide to just low side the bike so I don't mow my trees down.  Well my plan was working perfectly UNTIL.
the bike hit my landscape timbers and turned my lowside intentions into a high side resulting in me getting pitched at a high rate of speed onto my privacy fence.  So there I am hanging on top of my privacy fence laughing at myself and looking back at my leyland cypress trees safe from harm.  So the moral of the story is just as I stated before.  lol....
Just thought some of you guys would have some entertaining whipe out stories to share.
later guys,
Ralph

LOL!

Just this weekend, had some friends over for a BBQ and just messing around. Thought I'd throw some roost around in the backyard in the nice new mud we have from many days of rain. Well, I was about 8ft from the side of the house and I dumped the clutch... Well in my infinite wisdom, I had the front brake on and plowed through the mud and slammed into the side of the house!

There I was with a KX500 on top of me in the mud.

Neither are stock, and both are great desert bikes.

If you mix in some beer and the famous slogan "Hey guys watch this"  somewhere in there it would be perfect. :)
good times man.  good times.

When a person looses control of their car and it's headed for the ditch, 99% will say "Oh, s**t!!"
In Minnesota they say "Here, quick, hold my beer!!"

After the Beer post, reminded me of a time about 25 years ago when me & a buddy went riding downtown to do some bar hoping. He drug me into the Biker Bar were a young fellow riding a Rice Burner wasn't very welcome. I drank my 1 beer & told him it was time to go. A little later that night, one of the patrons from that bar pulled up beside me (he was Extremly Juiced up) and recognized us from earlier. Sitting at the Red Light, he starts reving that ole V Twin HD for all she's worth looking to race my Suzi GS750 (with Loud pipe of course). So I bring the revs upto about 7K and wait for the light to turn green. The light changes & I ease out slowly on the clutch to putter off of the light as he takes off like a Bat out of H.LL and twisting that HD for everything she had. Why didn't I race him? As he pulled up to the stop light so did a cop & he was so Juiced he was totally unaware. We tooted our Rice Burner horns as we passed he & Mr Police Officer (Beep-Beep). Lesson learned never Ride or Drive in that condition.
Its Never too Late to Have a Happy Childhood!
