KX65 Front Brake Cylinder
« on: July 24, 2010, 10:28:02 AM »
Hey Guy's,

I've looked a few places and I'm needing a rebuild kit for the front master cylinder for an 03 kx65 / I don't think theres much differance from the kx65's to the bigger bikes as far as the master cylinder right?

According the parts diagram cross reference on Kawasaki's site, only 2001-2009 KX65 share the master cylinder. That doesn't mean it doesn't share parts, I just looked at the whole master cylinder.

The master cylinder on this kx65 is the same brand and style as what's on my new Yamaha. I'll keep looking. Thanks.

Hey,

Let me ask this. Are the kx65 master cylinders more foregiving on the front end or should it have the same positive feel as my big bikes? I have replaced/flushed the old fluid with dot4 and bleed the system of air but the front master cylinder feels like it's bleeding off pressure inside the cylinder/maybe it's designed that way for the smaller bikes. They will lock the front wheel but the lever just feels soft.
