I would like to introduce myself. My name is Vincent and I own and ride a 1986 kx 250. I am new to this forum and was  very happy that I found a place for us Kawasaki riders exclusivley.

I reading through the posts it looks as if we will never want for gerneral information, service and maintenance information and really fun stories (of which I hope to be able to contribute to!) and alot more.

  What type of riding do you do and where in the world might you be located? We have guys from all over

Thanks for the welcome, I reside by the sunny shores of lake erie in Cleveland, (and no I am not upset by the lebron deal LOL) I have been out of the game for a bit and the kx250 seemed a decent size for me at my advanced age (and advancing weight) to get back on and have some fun.
I like the local moto cross track but again at my age and being a returning rider it is pretty demanding and those youngsters cut the old guys no slack ha ha..So trail rides and just all around goofing around at my nephews farm seem to be the direction I will be taking until I can work myself back to the younger dare devil I used to be.

This group seems to be "the" place for all things Kawasaki and I am glad to be a part of it.

 I grew up in Peninsula, off Rt.303.   Akron-Peninsula Rd.  Small world..
 The Cuyahoga Natl park bought up the property and instead of taking the 99yr lease Pop decided to split, we moved to Brecksville and then I went off on my own.   I haven't been home in about 15yrs so I'm sure nothing much is the same. 
  Sandusky,CedarPoint,Sea-World, The Richfield Colliseum and Blossom.... The good old, not-so-Good-old-Days!

  Hey don't worry about those kids at the track, the important thing is getting out and riding!   I always had a great time trailriding with friends, We were able to ride right out of the garage, I do miss that.. I don't miss being Butt deep in snow from November till March!
   After a short stint in So.Cal. I moved north about 100mi. south of the Oregon border.. now I'm only butt deep in snow from Dec. to Feb!  Doh!!

Wow really a small world! I now reside in the little town of Berea 20 mins from downtown Cleveland.

yeah been in the area all my life and yes the snow gets to be a drag but I do actually like having four seasons. and yes you are correct nothing here is the same as it used to be back in the day.

I remember being able to side saddle our bikes (to keep the cops happy) on the  side of the road to the woods and farms that were plentiful and no one minded at all that us kids were out of trouble and having fun. Boy have those days changed! Now there are developments all over and no open space left to get dirty, at least locally.

But it's all good we just truck our toys now.

we used to side saddle r 80's back in the day. if we seen a cop we would just jump off and act like were pushing them. tried it going to fast one day and eat asphalt right in front of a cop. looked up just in time to see him lafing as he drove by.

LOL the cop probably figured there was no need to hassle you after he saw you take a dive.
