Exhaust Spacer?
« on: July 04, 2010, 07:22:36 PM »
I read on some other forum.......
That on a YZ250, they put a 3mm (1/8") spacer in the exhaust(stock)...and that gives it much more bottom end?

so i pose this to the real experts (KX RIDERS).....is there any truth to this...and offcourse..will this affect the STOCK KX Pipe?

This is much MUCH cheaper than a FMF Gnarley.

Willing to try it. but i don't REAAALLY wanna waste my time, if it does NOTHING...
Scary thing is....IF 3mm makes n difference in power delivery...what difference will all the dent in my header do?

I have used two exhaust washers before. I didn't noticed much, but I did notice a difference. I have also tried making a reed spacer out gasket material. I made 3-4 gaskets. It seemed to help a little but I think it needed to be thicker maybe. Since I only trail ride my old 125 I like more bottom end.
