I've setteled in on 14/49 gearing. Good in the woods, acceleration will rip your arms out of their sockets, and top speed is still good. 14/47 stock gearing makes 1st gear a tad to "chuggy" and high geared, going slow in the technical stuff IMO..

I ran 14/49 on my 500 and it was great. I could climb any hill here in Georgia and could pop it in 3rd gear and leave it for most fast trails. With reed spacer and gnarly pipe I was able to lug this thing like a tractor just leaving it in 3rd gear for most trails.
