 Been having quite a time introducing  myself and of course my Kx 500 1995version : 8-)
Well here goes.. I was born in Minnesota and move to Coeur'd Alene  Idaho where I was a wee lad... there I played on the many hills and trails in the region .. on a XL 350 striped down version.. I didn't get into two strokes till I met my wife 8 years ago  :roll:and we been happy raising two boys ...  My firs 2 stroker was a Rmx 250slightly modified for hills... and then I was forced to sell her ...no body to ride..  I now have the boys on a 125 yamaha yz and a ktm sx 125  and my wife is know the proud owner of a kx 125 still in the shop though  hope to have it out soon needed a full rebuild... and then we come to the K5  I have never had a more challenging and fun bike to ride to this date.. we are happy we found your web site and all the useful information on it (  I already have rebuild plans for my bike ))  well thanks all from

Thanks j-speed and Friar-tuck  for the posts and we are anxious to get the boys into the sport --   I have had them riding a 250 4 stroke already before we got them the 2 strokers and my wife is yet to get out there but we do have a kx 125 waiting on her and well the smiles are already coming ... and that is what it is all about ... thanks all

Hello to Ron and family in Sultan, WA.  I am from Auburn, WA.  Grew up riding near shelton and back woods in Kent.  I recently joined this site.  I bought a K5 one week ago today and took it out for it's first real ride in the Mojave desert in Ca.  It was a Blast to ride.  I have found this site incredibly useful this past few days in some minor repairs that I had to make to even ride the K5 for the first time.  Ted
