dream parts
« on: September 24, 2009, 06:30:47 AM »
I'm starting this thread to try and pick everyones brains. You know that little doodad that you have been thinking would be cool but no one makes. lets face it we all have lots of cool ideas about stuff that we think could make us rich if we did it but we either dont have the time, ability or desire to do it. I think it's cool to share these thoughts because it may inspire others to do something with the idea. The compression releas is a perfect example of this. Here's my little idea, everyones always asking how can i see if my kips is working. That's easy you just pull the little cover off and look. If you have ever tried this you know it's not all that easy because the pipes in the way. What we need is a kips bolt that has a spring loaded button that sticks out of it that will move in and out as the kips opens and closes so you can see at a glance if its working. I'm picturing a sweet billet part, anodized black nut and anodized red button with marks that show full open, full closed and even over closed. let's hear about your part Idea.

I really want someone to produce an electrical system similar to the old E-line system, but at a more reasonable price.

How about a 2 piece clamp similar to a hand guard clamp to replace the upper exhaust mount tab that breaks.  It could clamp around the round part of the frame that holds the coil.

How about some clones.....so I could work two jobs and still ride every day.

Actually BDI what you asking is a great idea.  Back in the 70's my buddy and I used to cut our levers down shorter and reweld a ball on the end.  Years later came dehandlers and now every bike has shorty levers.  Missed that one. I also built my own bladder drinking system for  races....who would have thought that would catch on.  Quess thats why I am still poor. Cam.
