Hi I'm DZ, (Dave Zarankin - not dizzy)
Recently jumped back into dirt biking after a long hiatus. My last off road machine was a '81 KX125, but now I am the proud owner of a '91 KX500 and I am looking forward to exploring the capabilities of the legendary K5. Some background: I hail from extreme southwestern Ontario, Canada. I am a mechanic by trade and have 2-stroke oil coursing through my veins. Machines I have owned are:
'78 KV75 - 1st bike
'77 KD100 - next step
'80 KX80 - sold to upgrade
'82 KX125 - wrecked
'82 RZ350 - sold to a friend(big mistake)
'85 RZ500RN - still riding it
'89 RZ350 - sold to my brother(another big mistake)
'91 KX500 - yeehaw!!
There have been some 4-strokes mixed in as well - but I don't feel they deserve mention in this format. Looks as though I have found the place for any questions I may have in the near future. Cheers folks! GREEN IS THE ONLY COLOUR FOR OFF ROAD MACHINES - NOTHING ELSE COMPARES! LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL (remember that??)
