Alpina wheels
« on: March 17, 2009, 07:13:17 AM »
This is not my normal stomping grounds but I had to show these to you guys. I want a set for my gsxr 1000, they are the sweetest wheels I have ever seen. You need to down load the online catolog to really see how sweet they are. I'm sure you super-M guys will be like (ya ya we saw those a long time ago) But there new to me and I'm excited.

BDI,

I read an article on these a while ago and was very impressed ( nipples on the hub meaning less gyro effect ). I also have a Gixxer 1K, and while at Daytona this year, I visited the Dynamag Booth and checked out the Carbon Wheels they have (Stupidly Light &   $$$$$). If you are not after the "Bling" of the Alpina check out the Dymags, I know they can only be 1/20th the weight (I want some).

That web site sucks I found their acctual site With lots of good pictures and no need to down load their catolog.I'm pretty up on the street bike wheels. I have wanted to put spoke wheels On my street bike for a long time. Every time I mention doing I get told I shouldn't do it for one reason or another, that makes me wan't to do it twice as bad. The alpina wheels with black rims, red nipples, black spoke and red hubs would be sick on by red and black gsxr. I want to do it because no one else would.

I can't imagine how light carbon wheels would feel.  When swapping the tires on my CBR900RR I was astounded as to how light the bare wheels were, and that just the plain stockers. Cam.
