Bigger radiators for KX500???
« on: April 21, 2009, 07:11:45 AM »
I'm looking wich radiator will work on my AF. Maybe 04 KXF250 rad's or stockers.
I like that the protectors are screwed tight on the KXF rad's.
Stock K5 hase the right connecting and so. Now I can order new one's at.http://www.gmxradiators.co.uk/
Oversized cost 440,-pond and stock size cost 370,- pond. Should the extra 70,-pond be worth it or
just show and maybe even bad for the motor. Because of the extra cooling the engine won't be on tempeture??

The 04 kxf250 rads are too small. The 05 were slightly bigger to combat the 04 overheating.

04 kxf rads about the same size as the kx500. Have 07kxf rads but are to tall, espacially the right side.

You can try the 04 rads. I know they don't keep the 250 4t cool enough. I swapped mine out for the 05 and have had no problems since.

Have you tried to space out radiator from the frame? or you can cut a notch in the tank to clear the wish bone.I used the stock 450 radiators, I lucked out and didn't have to cut the radiator just move the outlet. Good Luck
