2-Stroke activism...
« on: January 08, 2009, 06:30:38 AM »
Take part if you would please :-D

FIM press release:Motocross Classes: as of 2010, single cylinder engines will be used in MX1 and MX2 and multicylinder in MX3, whether 2 or 4-stroke (open concept). The cubic capacity will be 250cc in MX2, and up to 650cc in MX3.

The AMA is considering 250 smokers in the lites class, or 250 class it is now called?  And our Canadian neighbors are also considering this.

Excellent.  With equal displacement rules you will see alot more factory teams bring 2-stroke to the game. Cam.

Yea, once more realize they can race a 250 2-stroke against 250 4-strokes they'll be riding oil burners again. I sure hope Yamaha and KTM keep making them.

I once heard my buddy Bill ask Danny Hamel after a race....
"How can someone who looks like a high school band tuba player go so d**n fast on a bike?!"

Here in NZ we run the 250 2 strokes in with the 4 bangers it works really well with some awesome racing and its pretty much even with which sort gets the win, i think it depends on which track they are racing on.
