So are you saying to drill the bolt head and then safety wire it? What they should have done was to us a longer bolt and put a jam nut on the outside! :twisted:

Thats what I did. Everything that ever decided to fall off or loosen up, if safety wire could get on it. then it did.

Hmmm.  Don't really have any safety wire on my bike, except for the oil plug.  However, as I mentioned, I locktite almost every bolt on the bike.  Never had anything on the bike fall off....yet.   :lol:

Alan, make loctite and your KX5 ( or any off road machine ) friends!
I use blue loctite on everything on my bike. The blue loctite is medium strength and removable. Works great. Use it on your tank, seat, side panels, & everything else. I had my 125 racing buddy laughing at me when I was putting my bike together, I had my BIG bottle putting drops on all the bolt threads. One more thing, it only takes a drop on the threads to work, any more is waisting it. I hope this helps.
