Gas jug vent
« on: August 19, 2008, 02:14:47 PM »
I'm sure most everyone has a jug that has a screwed up vent from age or other issues. I figured I would call the manufacturer of the jug and get a new one. What could they cost? 30 cents, shoot I will have them send me a few. I have like six cans that all need one. Na there 2 bucks a piece and they dont sell to the public and I have to order them from someone :x. So off to Lows I went to see if I could come up with something. This what I did It's a drain for the bottom of an air compressor tank. This one is a little fancy and costs 3 bucks and some change, they usually look kinda like a wing nut. It screwed right in the hole perfect so far it does not leak and works great. just unscrew the little knurled part on top and the vent is opened
