Well here's my story and i'm stickin to it. I bought a KDX200 last October, it had been awhile sine i rode. I got it cheap and joined kdxriders.net to get some help getting it going right. After 2 months of riding it, i made a post saying the bike is good in the tight trails n such. But wtf can i do to the bike for everything else? I need to go fast!
Somebody said well then you would need to go buy a KX. Now i wasn't sure if he was joking or not... But i couldn't take any chances and went out and bought a 99 KX250
The guy i bought it from , dumped it on the right side. The kick starter came out and the gears got slammed through the back of the casing. Needless to say i had to buy 2 new cases, the right side covers, waterpump, kick starter assembly(all these pieces fell out when it was dumped and the guy left them there, so he could get the bike home quick) and do a rebuild. I am no expert by any means and i was really shocked when the bike actually started up when i was done.
It's been about 2 weeks since i finished it. I'm still getting used to the bike and absolutely love how it goes.
