Does anyone use a hose clamp on the rubber connector where the muffler slips on over the pipe?

I use safety wire, two wraps then twisted, never leaks.

I have been using fat hose clamps i found that have coated edges. this way i can remove the exsust easier. i used regular clamps and found myself needing to replace my rubber
