ok...need rear spokes
« on: April 09, 2007, 02:45:07 PM »
well time for the wheel update. soked with wd40 acouple of nights in a row(know some of y'all hate the WD, but I had it on hand). hit the nipples with the wrench(there's a strange sentence he he hee) the first few tightened right up, about the 4th one snapped right in the middle of the shaft. so now not trusting the others, they have to go. so my question for you guys is what brand of spokes have y'all used to replace OEM ones in a stock hub with a stock wheel. I've looked at the pro wheel and buchanans and excels, but I dont know which ones will fit in the stock holes in the hubs. not lookin to drill out the holes and want a good solid set of spokes.

so any experiences that anybody has had before to cut out some of the B/S to get this done...its gettin time for some good ridin round here and she's up on the stand ...HELP!!!

I use buchanan, they are oversized but do not require drilling, I've had great success with them. I usually put a dab of never seize on them when installing. Of course you have to check them often to insure proper tension.
