Kx 250 2005 CDI

Hi everyone,
thanks for the add

I bought a Kx 250 2005 who was in really bad shape. I went for a full rebuilt, and i saw that the CDI and harness are coming from a Kx 250 2001. But the bike was running good by the previous owner.

So i was wondering if i try to find a 2005 CDI and harness or if i leave it that way and also does it really matters ?

Good question , i know kaw changed the cdi on the 07 and 08 kx125 for more low down power from the 06 model and before and can be interchanged so may be there something like that with the 250 models , if you could borrow , or buy a 05 cdi and do back to back test would be interesting to know.
