Hi,
I have a 1983 kx500 and want to use a later aluminium kickstart lever. I have seen on another forum that a complete 1985 kickstart shaft can be substituted for an 83. If this is done, what model kickstart levers are compatible with the 85 shaft and would there be any clearance problems to the cylinder head using the later kickstart levers on the air cooled motor.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
