Random cable?

Hi guys I bought an 05 kxf250, now it needed a little work, but there’s a cable by the handle bars, attached to nothing and goes down to the carb.. what is it? There’s two cables with the throttle, which are attached as normal, but can’t seem to work out what this cable would do? The choke is a little lever on carb that pulls out, so can’t be that.. then I thought could be de comp cable but then why would that go to carb? Anyway waffling now. Any advice appreciated thanks a lot

Hot start, like how your choke draws fuel when cold, the hot start draws in extra air to clear the cylinder if you stall or flood it when the engine has warmed up.

Thanks for that mate.. is there meant to be a lever somewhere I’m guessing?

it would have been on the clutch perch, do a search and you can find a clutch perch with or without hot start

Thanks very much for your help mate, I’ve ordered a new lever with the small lever too. I’m very ocd things have to be right, ha thanks again ..
