1978 KX125A4 project
« on: November 21, 2016, 09:53:00 PM »
Hoping for sensible advise on what to do. Have a '78KX125,can't restore though has much new/and restored tank.Heart procedure as well as Spinal fusion surgery and medical costs dictate letting it go to someone else.
Is it better to part it out,or sell as complete roller/project? Runs, have 95% original parts (no butchered parts or mods).
Thanks in advance for your help.

Well, if I was a buyer in the market for a vintage MX bike, I would want it as a roller with all of the parts there. it would be worth more to an individual in that sense. plus those vintage MX bikes are becoming more and more sought after. what it's worth...I have no idea. if it's worth restoring...why not!

If it were my bike, I would try to sell as a roller. Parting the bike out will probably net you more in the long run, but you will have to find buyers looking for the parts you are selling which takes time.  Plus you have to worry with shipping, feedback if you use eBay, and returns. Selling the whole bike, you just need one guy or girl with cash that will come to you.
Perhaps I have a dirt bike addiction?
