Plastics Kit
« on: February 17, 2017, 03:25:51 PM »
Hey guys! Brand new on here... I looked around and didnt see any information about this topic.

I am going to be redoing an 2001 KX250 and I have been doing some shopping for a new complete set of plastics. Any of you guys have any recommendations on where to go? I have been reading reviews for different companies and I am getting mixed opinions?

P.S- I will be posting my project within the next week so stay tuned!

I have had really good luck with Acerbis plastics.  Some of the other brands seem to be a little less precise to me.
Perhaps I have a dirt bike addiction?

I'll second with the Acerbis plastics, very good quality, I run them on all of my bikes. Their customer service and support at Acerbis USA is even better - very nice people over there.

I too have been a fan of UFO plastics for some years. Although I'm not completely sure of the brand, I have ordered shrouds with custom graphics from DeCal Works and was really happy with both quality of the graphics and plastic.

Decal Works rocks.  I would really like to try the service where you buy plastic with the graphics already installed.  Was it a lot more expensive than just buying the plastic and graphics by themselves?

I don't remember the exact price because when I ordered my custom graphics I also ordered shrouds, rear fender, and seat cover. Something tells me that they used to charge around $10 to put the graphics on for you, but I think they did mine free of charge. (Either had a deal going on or because I've ordered multiple pieces).
