I need a couple KX500 pics posted please
« on: June 10, 2016, 04:46:32 AM »
I am working on a 98 kx500 frame rebuild and reinforcement. Some of the work I am planning is to reinforce the rear brake lever mount and upper sub frame mount. I decided to do these mods months after I tore the bike apart. I half remember what these areas look like fully assembled. I am trying to avoid assembling and disassembling the bike to see what parts are near the areas I am reinforcing.

Can someone post these pics of a 89-04 kx500:

1 Looking up from underneath of the area of the rear brake lever mount / swingarm area

2 a pic with seat removed showing what is directly underneath the upper mount sub frame mount where it attaches to the main frame?

Thanks.

What were we talking about???
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Lol.  :-D  I was just hemming and hawing over how to design and place reinforcement brackets on the rear brake lever mount and the upper sub frame mount. I decided to layer steel on the backside of the brake bracket and blow off the upper sub frame mount until I can see the bike together.

I never diddled with the brackets but I fixed the problem with wearing out where the clevis attaches..
