KX 250 1987 Restore

Hi, I'm new to this site so excuse any mistakes I may make while learning.

KX250 1987 bought in 1988, I raced this bike up to the end of 1990. Kept it against my wife's wishes and restored it to what you see now in 2012. Since then I've started competed again in the Vets MXDN at Farleigh Castle (UK) each year since. It also sees action 2 or 3 times at local meetings

I'm just starting a rebuild of a 87 KX250.
Yours are awesome. don't think mine will come out that nice.
Can you tell me about the fork swap that you did.
That's one thing I would like to do, then put the 87 forks and brake on my 82 KX250.
