« on: March 20, 2015, 09:08:24 PM »
My son who works at a local kawi shop was talking to the kawi rep who says kawi is working on a direct injection 2 stroke dirt bike , it wont be a mx bike , i hope this is true . they need it bad. So keep your eyes open and will see if it happens. I hope i have not shot my self in the foot about this, will all see what the future holds?

Ok.... Now we will all hold you to it  :-D
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Why just a 500, how bout 750 twin or triple . Add a 6 or 7 speed Trans to make 150 mph possible,  Oil injection so you can idle around through rock beds for hours on end without loading up, Closed loop map operation so sea level to 20000 ft it runs clean. Enough lighting power to run a beer cooler & give daylight lighting to boot. & could you make it weigh about as much as a bicycle
if I only had a pair, I could actually ride this thing

& to the people I like  FYYFF

Maybe an off road bike similar to a KTM XC or XC-W. It would make sense, you cold race it right now, while the manufacturers decided if the market would supprt two strokes in mx again.
Perhaps I have a dirt bike addiction?

It wont be a mx bike , a off road bike . I see sherco has a efi 300 2 stroke out and I read , I think it was mxa , not sure now that ktm could be releasing there long awaiting dfi bikes for 2016 2 strokes , so could be interesting the next few years will see, but who ever releases it first , should sell them like hot cakes.
