Just got in from the Mt. Sommers ride. Another great days riding. FMF gnarly is the dog bollocks as far as my riding style goes. What an improvement over the P/C! Richened up the main, change from a 170 to a 175. Will havew to check the pilot now. think it will need a small size increase. Any thoughts? Just a little hesitant at the crack open on slow engine speed. But once its away its brilloes. got a Vforce 2 cage and moose reed spacer coming soon. Should be good. Posted new piks on gallery of today. Sweet ride indeed. Only 60 mile. Broken clutch cable put halt to the day.  :D

Not sure which type of P/C. Will check it out . Is it stamped on plaque? Was on the bike when I got hold of it. But it is unbent or dinged and in not bad nick apart from dirt. It was running standard kawasaki silencer. The power was good with the P/C, but after a KDX 200 the KX has torque to burn! Looking back now , the P/C is a upper low to midrange pipe ,where as the Gnarly is very much a low/ mid range with a top end that still seems very usable indeed. I increased the main from 170 to 175 and will increase pilot size also. Seems a tad hesitant of low throttle openings.
I'm a real FMF fan! Have had thier pipe on most of my bikes. Nice fit and finish. Got a Powercore silencer as well. Not too loud very crisp. Back to back I'd have the Gnarly any day for any condition. The 5 hundie is all about gobs of usable torque. The Gnarly really refines the process of delivery much better than Pro circut does. Transformation! All you tight trailers should have one!  And the price $220 SWEET. Got a V force 2 and moose reed spacer coming too. Will update on that if your interested?

Was thinking of trying the Gnarly(ride a lot of every thing, but LOTS of tight woods) because I have a PC,but never could find how big a differnce there was between the two that itd be worth the switch.PK89500-02=MX,PK89500-01=off-road.Let us know how you like the reast of the changes you make.

Just closely inspected the old Pro circut pipe. No serials like that. It's got ''95 KX 1162" stamped on it. Unless things turn to shut with the Gnarly, it wont be going back on.
