Won't the powder coat eventually crack and peel with the motion of the shock spring?

Found a NOS one on Ebay but they are asking too much for my budget ($125 + 50 shipping).

According to this Race Tech offers custom colors for $40 - powder coated.

That's about what I'd pay to have it done local.  I need to have the shock serviced anyway, so I may have them get a new 5.0kg spring installed while they have it.

just an FYI....you can buy your own powder coating kit for quite reasonable prices these days...then you can customize the hell out of your ride...hubs, levers, or whatever
