Hi,

I'm taking my 87 KX 250 completely apart but I'm not sure if the forks need to be in the up right position when I'm storing them?

Haven't decided yet....

Just taking everything off and cleaning for now...I'm rebuilding the entire bike, but saving the forks for a later project. I'm putting all the parts in boxes and now I'm prepping the frame for paint so I took the forks off.

I want to get the engine running first though.

dont matter.

I store most mine upright, since they stack better.  and I have TONS of them around here from all my projects, and parts bikes.

Thanks...

The reason why I was asking is because they contain fluid and maybe it would create air pockets if stored laying down.
