Please help with kyb fork 48 kx 2008
« on: May 15, 2013, 05:47:49 AM »
Hello from Spain.

I have a kawasaki kx 2008 250 2 stroke 48mm fork kayaba

I changed the oil but I want to know how much oil is inside the cartridges

in the manual it says "fork oil 310ml quantity" but puts nothing cartridges..

I missed 125ml per cartridge but the fork does not work well

if anyone knows how much oil has to wear please tell me

thank you very much

we didn't have an 08 250 2t in the us, but the 06 and 07 were the same and as I recall the 06 took 170 ml, I will look and if I'm wrong I will repost
Live today, for tomorrow may never come

The inner cart is over filled, assembled then bled of excess so as to have no air in it.

Basically, it should be pretty hard to get the compression assembly to screw in, but not impossible.  Screw it all the way in then bottom the cart to bleed it before you install it in the fork.  Make sure the jam nut is on the bottom first.
