KX250 shifter rod bushings??
« on: May 20, 2013, 05:37:27 AM »
Does anyone know where to buy replacement bushings that the shifter forks go into on a 1992 KX250.  I cant seem to find any where online to buy them. For the machinist out there, would these be hard to make??

I looked around for them myself with no luck. Can't say I've ever needed to change them. I have a set out of a 95. I cross referenced the part numbers and 2 of them are the same the other one is not. Not quite sure what is different between them though. How does your pins look if the bushings are bad?

The pins on the shifters looked decent,  can you tell me where you found the part numbers for the bushings?  Im thinking if I had the part numbers, I could find the dimensions and have a set made,  I think the bushings I have got ruined when the guy that had the motor before me put the cases back together, I got the motor as a donor.  If anyone has the part numbers for the bushings in a 1992 case, please post.

Couldn't find just the bushings. I looked pretty hard too. I looked up the part number of the shift forks at www.bikebandit.com.
