Favorite Riding Terrain
« on: May 03, 2013, 09:44:25 AM »
Hey all, Just curious what everyone's preferred riding terrain was. I personally get the most kick out of hillclimbing. There are a lot of clay hills near me that are steep and smooth, with common vert sections.

Second to that, I enjoy tight single track trails, and technical sections. I've ridden dunes, and it was ok, but not my favorite. Too much sand in all the wrong places.... if you know what I mean...  :-o
When in doubt, throttle out!

I like to ride in very tiny rocks...
The steeper and taller the better...

and the 1 million dollar- answer is : sand-dunes in the desert... :-D 8-)

.. i love to ride all kind of mx tracks with sand , where i can show my back to the 4-stroke-riders...
..i also love trail-riding combined with smart hillclimbing in the woods. the narrower and harder the better way to learn new skills...  :-D

When the conditions are right...Southwick is my favorite terrain/place to ride. The high speed bowled-out berms are soooo much fun to rail while on the pipe.
Excuse me, ma'am...but you've got extremely nice legs!!!...what time do they open???                                                                                                               https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8tCgN3aryQ

That is a pretty loose question for me.

there is a reason I have so many bikes.   I love it all.

so the answer would have to be....    WHAT EVER I happen to be on at that point in time.

I ride everything from  Trials (big ass rocks),   to dunes, to desert, to street, to mountains, to singletrack, to ........................

Most fun EVER on a motorcycle.        The dunes,    the BIG dunes.. (not that origon toy stuff)    after it just rained... on a open class bike..

The only time I ever wasnt having a BLAST on a motorcycle was on dirt roads in Mississippi, after it rained.    the mud there is like a greased Ice rink,     and    the main problem, is its the EXACT same color as the dry dirt.   so you will be booking along at 50mph,  and before you can blinnk, your sideways   both front and back tires sliding with ZERO traction,  no responce,   and heading into the woods..

but... Id still rather be riding on those roads again than  playing Xbox, or going to the movies, or what ever the hell it is youth these days do...

I dont really have a particular favourite. Each type of terrain offers its own different challenges.
